We had a very enjoyable time at the 2019 Hastings Music Festival on the 15th March.
The profits of the pharmaceutical industry spiked as many in the chorus were recovering from an evil virus. Special commendation to Jon Hayward who was speaking with a "double bass"voice on Thursday but managed to get through the evening with a pocket full of drugs and a bottle of runny honey.
The results were as follows.
Choir Competition: East Kent Chorus in 3rd place with Honours
A Capella Competition:
- First place The Notables
- Second place The Wayward Harmonisers
- Third place with honours, The East Kent Chorus
The winning choir was a 60 strong group singing Bohemian Harmony.
The highlight of the evening was to watch the entire audience light up when we burst into Fat Bottomed Girls. We seriously connected with fun.
